With the help of our friend SIMBA, some tech and no-tech coding activities we tried to introduce the basics of directional coding to our students.
They learned to code by creating their own paths using arrows, test their skills by solving the task cards and use the recording page to write their program.
First we put ourselves in the role of Simba and his friend and started walking through the paths. Then we used the work mat, the arrows, the picture cards and the task cards to help Simba reach his friends. We had a lot of fun and now we are waiting to use our robot and transfer our new gained knowledge
